Salaried Teacher Training (Primary)
A primary school in Hailsham, East Sussex are looking for aspiring teachers who are able to start as a Teaching Assistant in September and work their way up to qualifying as a teacher through the TiQ Programme.
The school have a great track record of both academic success for their pupils and continued professional development for their staff. They aim to help graduates work their way up from Teaching Assistant to Qualified Teacher Status using the TiQ Programme, which allows graduates to qualify as a teacher without having to pay course fees and whilst progressing at a more gradual, natural rate.
Starting as a Teaching Assistant during your teacher training will allow you to find your feet in the school before taking on additional responsibilities so that you feel well supported and don’t feel as though you’ve been thrown in the deep end. This time as a Teaching Assistant is a valuable period of the programme where you can learn more about how to help children learn, as well as how to utilise your Teaching Assistant and other support staff when you become a teacher.
- Honours Degree
- C or above in GCSE (or equivalent) English, Maths & Science
- Previous experience of working with children
