Teaching Assistant to Qualified Teacher Status
Teach In Qualified – Salaried route from Teaching Assistant to Qualified Teacher Status.
Placements available for For Secondary and Primary starting in April and September 2018 across London.
Teach in Qualified is a salaried teacher training model with a difference. Starting your career as a Teaching Assistant in a school you have met and selected beforehand, over a two year period you will be provided with the experience and training you need to be fully prepared once you gain Qualified Teacher Status. Our trainees develop their skills as a teacher through school-based Teaching Assistant work, mentoring, tuition and Personal Development days. The nature of the programme, starting off as a Teaching Assistant and progressing over two years, ensures that our trainees are fully prepared before taking on additional responsibilities in the classroom. Our trainees develop their skills from working as Teaching Assistant and team teaching in the first two terms, and all of our candidates begin independently teaching in their third term, taking on an increasing timetable over their second year.
Our personal development days are run by a SCITT provider committed to ensuring new teachers gain the support and knowledge required for their long-term career. Training will be provided from the day you begin work as a Teaching Assistant up until you gain newly qualified status two years later.
All fees and training costs are covered by the school, who will pay you a salary while you train.
