Teaching Assistant to Qualified teacher Status

Placements for both Teaching Assistant and Trainee Teacher roles available for Primary starting in Bromley in September 2018

Teach in Qualified is a six-phase salaried initial teacher training programme. Starting your career as a Teaching Assistant in a school you have met and selected beforehand, over a two year period you will be provided with the experience and training you need to be fully prepared once you gain Qualified Teacher Status.

As a TiQ trainee, you will develop your skills as a teacher through school-based Teaching Assistant work, tuition and Personal Development days. The gradual structure of the programme- starting off as a Teaching Assistant and progressing over two years – ensures that you are fully prepared before taking on additional responsibilities in the classroom. As a TiQ trainee, you will initially develop your skills and knowledge working as Teaching Assistant and team teaching in the first two phases, and begin independently teaching in your third phase, taking on an increasing timetable over phases 4-6

Our personal development days are run by our experienced training partner, committed to ensuring new teachers gain the support and knowledge required for their long-term career. Training will be provided from the day you begin work as a Teaching Assistant up until you gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

All fees and training costs are covered by the school, who will pay you a salary while you train.

If you are looking to boost your experience before starting Teacher Training, we also have Graduate Teaching Assistant role available, with roles including classroom support, leading interventions and 1-1 support and potential to lead into salaried teacher training the following year.
