Trainee Computer Science Teacher
Have you graduated from a degree in Computer Science and would like to pursue an exciting, proactive career choice?
Would you like to pursue a career in teaching but would rather a practical, less costly alternative to the PGCE?
The Teaching Apprenticeship Programme (TAP) is a salaried, fee-free programme that allows you to earn as you learn – advancing from a Trainee Computer Science Teacher to a newly qualified teacher whilst also getting paid and not having to pay course fees as you would with the PGCE.
As a Trainee Computer Science Trainee Teacher, you will be working almost exclusively in a school from day one – gaining valuable experience form a classroom environment whilst being supported by qualified teachers and mentors. You will be involved in the school community and learn alongside your peers to grow and develop at your own pace.
Unlike many courses where you may feel thrown in at the deep end, TAP allows your experience as a Trainee Computer Science Teacher to be a much more positive and one where you receive advice and guidance every step of the way and have the opportunity to challenge and motivate yourself and your students at the same time.
Entry Requirements for a Trainee Computer Science Teacher:
- A commitment to make a difference.
- The ability to inspire and motivate.
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
- A 2.2 degree or above.
- Grade C (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English
We are looking for a Trainee Computer Science Teacher to begin for an immediate start, so apply today to take the first steps towards hands-on training and hit the ground running in your new career.
