Science Apprentice Teacher

The Teacher Training Apprenticeship offers a Fee-Free and Salaried pathway to gain QTS and a Level 6 Post Graduate Teaching Qualification.

We are recruiting for a Trainee Science Teacher for an Oftsed rated Good coeducational secondary school and sixth form, located in Essex. As a Salaried Trainee Science Teacher, you can expect to gain experience across years 7-11 (age range 11-16) teaching up to GCSE level throughout your twelve month programme. The successful Salaried Trainee Science Teacher will be someone who can meet the below requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related subject, 2.2 or better
  • Right-to-work full-time in the UK; you must have been ordinarily resident in the UK for 3-years.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for your subject
  • Hold GCSE’s at a C/4 Grade or above in English Language and Maths (or an equivalent)
  • The ability to support, challenge and inspire students – encouraging them to be their best
  • A strong classroom presence to achieve high levels of student engagement
