Science Teacher Training

Science Teacher Training

The Teaching Apprenticeship programme is an employment-based teacher training route offering primary and secondary teacher training in England, in particular the Greater London area. Candidates gain QTS on our one-year course from one of the many schools and trusts we work in partnership with. When completing a TAP placement you’re employed by your school, so are legally entitled to receive a minimum salary on the unqualified teacher scale.

You’ll need an undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject and GCSEs – A-C grades in Maths and English language, and additional A-C grades in science if you’re applying for primary training, to be accepted onto TAP. In this instance for our current Science teacher training opportunities you will be required to have an undergraduate degree relating directly to the field of Science (a 2:2 or above).

Experience within schools is preferential but not required for application – so don’t let this stop you from applying!

Under Science Teacher Training in addition to your salary and all your course fees being covered by your chosen school, you will also achieve your QTS qualification upon successful completion within one year. This programme is perfect for those who prefer a mix of academic learning and on-the-job training.

Our placements are based throughout Greater London – so apply today regardless of where you are looking for a paid teacher training opportunity.

For more information on this placement or others available for a start this side of the summer term and/or in September, simply apply and/or call us on 0203 910 0403.
