Secondary School Teacher Training

This hands-on approach to Secondary School Teacher Training will see you working in a school for the majority of the programme and achieving Qualified Teacher Status in just one year.

As a trainee, you will be working alongside experienced teachers and mentors both in and out of the school, building up your confidence so that you’ll be teaching the majority of your own classes by the end of the course. You will learn the different techniques and methods of teaching in your off-site training days and will be able to put all of this into practice in the classroom.

Entry Requirements for Secondary School Teacher Training:

–          A degree with a classification of 2:2 or higher

–          GCSE Grades C or higher in Maths and English

–          The desire the inspire and motivate and a passion for your subject

–          Continual residency in the UK or the EU for the last three years

Due to the high demand from schools, trainees who are qualified in the following subjects will get preference in the application process:

–          Maths

–          English

–          Science

–          Computer Science

–          Design & Technology

–          Modern Foreign Languages, particularly Spanish
