Teach In heads back to Ireland

Are you an Irish teacher, teaching graduate or teaching student interested in teaching in the UK?

This April, we’re coming to find you! At Teach In, we find long-term and permanent teaching jobs for Irish teachers, in a range of locations across England and Wales.teach London After the success of our November trip to Ireland, in which we perfectly placed dozens of Irish teachers in their ideal British teaching jobs, we’re heading back to the land of saints and scholars.

A rewarding school network to work for

This time we’ll be there primarily on behalf of the Ark network of schools in England, who’ve asked us to find them the very best educators Ireland has to offer, for both primary and post-primary teachers starting in September 2017. Ark have schools in the large cities of London and Birmingham, as well as outside of London in smaller seaside towns on the south coast, Hastings and Portsmouth.

Ajobs for Irish teachersrk are a wonderful network to work for as they understand the importance of investing in your training and development, not only so that you can become fully registered in Ireland and improve your employment opportunities if and when you decide to return home, but also so that you are eligible for promotion within the Ark network or in the wider English education system.
If you are successful in seeking a position with Ark, you will attend a week long induction/training course in the last week of August to fully equip new starters, including a large number who are recruited from Ireland. One day a week, the children go home early so allow staff to complete training within school time. Ark have 10 training days per year (double that of most schools in England) and the development plan is bespoke to the individual. You’ll also be assigned a “buddy” within the Ark network who you can turn to for support, as well as a mentor within the school you are assigned who will help you through your first year of teaching. Prior to starting your new job we can help to arrange accommodation for you and put you in touch with others who are starting at the same time so you can build a network of new colleagues and friends.
