Teaching Assistant to QTS – Merton – Primary Education

We are working with a lovely primary school in Merton who are looking for a Teaching Assistant who would be interested in our Teach In Qualified programme (see below).

Teach In Qualified is a bespoke programme to take graduates from Teaching Assistant to Qualified Teacher in the space of 2 years.

Graduates who can show from their CV and past work experience (paid or voluntary, it doesn’t have to be Teaching Assistant work) that they have been interested and used to working with children in the long term are eligible for the programme. You will need:

* A degree

* Enthusiasm and passion for helping kids to learn

* Strong core subject knowledge (Maths, English, Science)

* A proactive and hard-working nature

We want to make sure that the graduate who takes this position can find the transition from Teaching Assistant to Teacher as smooth as possible. In order to do this we have been very careful over the schools we work with and have teamed up with a reputable and highly respected teacher training provider. In return for your hard work you will receive:

* Qualified Teacher Status

* £75/day (no course fees to pay)

* Access to excellent theory-based material via our training provider’s virtual learning environment

* You won’t be rushed into anything, the course is flexible and you can progress at a rate that suits you

* The opportunity to learn to teach at one of our carefully selected partner schools (strict criteria is in place to ensure they can offer high levels of training)
